Yes he will be remembered! Out of the ring he was a controversial and heroic leader followed by many and he captured the imagination of the world with his intellegent and challenging poems before his fights - they were often backed up in the ring. Along with his exceptional boxing abilities, Ali became a global icon.

However Ali is NOT the greatest sportsman of all time and in fact he is possibly not even the greatest boxer of all time - he did lose 5 times!

Well, technically No. Why? Because there are a lot more people that are famous in different sports. Mohammad Ali was famous in boxing only. Babe Ruth was famous in Baseball. So I'd say No.
