John L Sullivan
Mike Tyson
Marciano is the only heavyweight champion to retire with an undefeated record, though he is often omitted from the lists of the greatest of all time due to the realitivly low level of competition in the heavyweight division at that time...
Considered by most the greatest heavyweight champion of all time, and a top 5 greatest boxer ever.
My 2 cents, ALI.
The Fighting Marine Gene Tunney, considered the greatest light heavyweight of all time my many fans and experts alike.
Muhammad Ali
Muhammad plays Boxing but now hes retired :-)
First to win heavyweight championship of the world three times. Reinvented the way heavyweights were supposed to fight, deploying a speed and athleticism that was previously unheard of. a lot of things made Ali famous. If you watch a lot of his fights you might think nothing of it. But remember that the fight you are watching is around 40-50 years old.
The best 5 boxers of all time include Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Rocky Marciano and Lenox Lewis. Ezzard Charles was also a heavyweight professional.
Bernard Dunne is the best of the current crop, Barry McGuigan is probably the best of all time but with a few defenses of his title, Dunne will surpass McGuigan's achievements and then be seen as the best.
Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.) is a retired American boxer and former three-time World Heavyweight Champion between 1964-1979. As an amateur, Ali won a gold medal at the Olympics in the light heavyweight division. As a professional, he became the only man to have won the lineal heavyweight championship three times. Total fights: 61 Wins: 56 Wins by KO:37 Losses: 5 Draws: 0 No contests: 0
that is opinion, so there is no right answer.
