The Miami Hurricanes proudly boast an impressive 58-game winning streak at home. The streak spanned nine seasons and has remained uncontested since its inclusion into the NCAA record books.

With regards to winning streaks, to include home winning streaks, the NCAA does not differentiate a regular season loss from a postseason loss; moreover, the NCAA does not discriminate a regular season win from a postseason win. Moreover, these specifications apply to Boise State's "regular season home winning streak" as well. The NCAA does not recognize "regular season" home winning streaks.

Had the inquirer asked about the longest "regular season" home winning streaks, a mention of Boise State would be prudent. In this case, however, a distinction between such variables is unnecessary. If one wants to mention Boise State's "regular season" home winning streaks, why not mention the longest home winning streaks for games played at night? How about we include the longest home winning streaks for teams that played before a sellout crowd? Can we not just observe an objective standard and answer in accordance with that standard?
