Porter, although the phrase had reportedly been in use with the Illinois High School Association's Basketball program since 1908. It wasn't until 1982, when Brent Musburger used it during a broadcast of an NCAA tournament, that it was widely recognized and used to reference the latter part of the College Basketball season.
