Basketball cars are a common type of playing cards that sell in packages of around 10 cards each. The cards in those packages are random, and most who buys them are looking for rare cards to impress friends with. Basketball cards can easily be obtained at most retail stores, like Target or Walmart. If one wants a special card, it's easy to find that card on eBay.
