More a game than a sport, really, but Twain was a billiards fanatic. Especially toward the end of his life, he would often play by himself long into the night, smoking cigars all the while. He was very particular about the design and furnishing of his billiard rooms in the houses he owned, having a particular fondness for a vivid scarlet motif.
