1964 Topps Baseball CardsThe 1964 Topps cards featured a trivia question at the bottom back of the card. To find the answer you took a coin, and scratched off the box.

I'm fairly certain that a scratched off card will not effect the overall grade of the card and you could still find the book value accordingly but a near mint card that is not scratched off might sell for slightly more.

A complete set of 1964 Topps Baseball cards consisted of 587 cards and has a book value of about $1,200. - $2,000. in very good - excellent condition, and $4,000. in near mint condition.

Key cards in the set include: #50 - Mickey Mantle, #125 - Pete Rose, #200 - Sandy Koufax, #331 - AL Bombers, and card #440 - Roberto Clemente.
