I bought one of these about a year ago. It was new in the box with all paperwork, etc. I paid $1100 and feel like a made a good deal. I would say that a price range of $1100 - 1300 is about right for one that has not been used. I would be willing to buy another at up to $1300 if it had exceptionally nice wood. For guns that have been used, I think you are looking at under $1000, depending on how used it is. These are very nice rifles.
There were 18 different models of the model 1894 marlin rifle.These include the model 1894,1894S,1894C carbine,1894 sporter,1894 carbine CP.1894 CL,1894P,1894FG,1894PG,1894SBL,1894SS,1894CSS,1894 cowboy,1894cowboy competition,1894 century limited,1894 octagon.
Depends where you live. Also it matters if its the 1894 cowboy or the 1894 cowboy limited. If it actually is a cowboy limited it matters if its the 20'' or the 24'' barrel. If in fact its the 24'' cowboy limited and in good condition people will pay 800-1000. They are very hard to come by and marlin stopped making them when they were bought by Remington.
The Limited had a 24" bbl., straight stock, no checkering, and a smaller forearm . Two versions - 1/2 round, 1/2 octagon, and full octagon.
Most used marlin model 1894 cowboy rifles have been selling for 575 dollars and up,depending on overall condition and a good bore.
