The postcards I believe you have are not issued by the Post office. They might be G Cachets. the cachet made by the Gateway Stamp company. The cachet can be Identified by a "G" with an arch over the top located at the bottom center area.

A Cachet is a design or inscription on an envelope to commemorate a postal or philatelic event. A collectible Baseball Cachet could include a players achievements, milestone, and record breaking accomplishments. A postal stamp and cancellation will coincide in date, or and relationship to commemorate the days event. Popular Cachets include Z Silk Cachets, and Gateway G silk Cachets. Cachets are also a popular item for players to sign.

The Earthquake G - Cachet dated Oct. 17, 1989 San Francisco Calif. Earthquake artwork, autographed by Manager Roger Craig is worth about $15. and unsigned about $7.50

The Game 3 G - Cachet dated Oct. 27, 1989 San Francisco Calif. Dave Stewrart cover, autographed by Stewart is worth $20., and unsigned $7.50

There were also 4 - San Francisco - Oakland series Cachets made by Z silk -Cachet that are worth about $20. Game 3 reads canceled by Eartquake below the silk artwork.

Part of the postal cancellation stamp reads Battle of the bay (Satiation) with the Official 1989 World Series logo

1989 World Series Signed BaseballThe baseball would have a higher value if it was signed by one team or the other as listed below. There would be less collectors interested in the signatures of both teams than one or the other. The value would most likely be less than $350. depending on which key signatures you have as listed below.

A 1989 Oakland Athletics team signed baseballs with the key signatures: LaRussa, Canseco, McGwire, Stewart, Parker, D. Henderson, R. Henderson, and Eckersley is worth about $500.-$700.

A 1989 San Francisco Giants Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Clark, Mitchell, Williams, Gossage is worth about $350.-$400.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable.

If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less.

A 1989 Oakland A's/San Francisco Giants World Series program is worth about $10.-$15. in excellent - near/mint condition.

As with all collectibles, condition is the most important factor of all providing that the item is authentic. With programs/scorecards the slightest flaws will bring the price down significantly. An exceptional mint condition scorecard could sell for more.

Common flaws would be staining, foxing (yellowing), fading, creases, rips, loose pages, cracked binding, and writing on the cover. Un-scored programs will generally sell at a higher price than a scored program but sometimes it doesn't effect value. The over all condition, and how well the cover displays will.

The value on a "scored" program as opposed to a un-scored program can vary depending on the game, and collectors preference. In general I would say an un-scored program will sell at a higher price. Some collectors do not mind scored programs, or might prefer it scored.
