The oldest known Baseball card is the 1869 Peck and Snyder Cincinnati Red Stockings card. This card, published 4 years after the Civil War, has a picture of the Red Stockings, and hall-of-famers George and Harry Wright on the front, and a picture of a bearded man and advertising for "The New York City Base Ball and Sportsman's Emporium, or Peck and Snyder on the back.
