JSA stands for James Spence Authentication, which is an "authentication" company dedicated to certify autographed items. They have web page where you can verify the authenticity of any certified item (see related link). This industry is under discussion due the credibility of "authenticators" and their credentials.
It really does depend, i have had my JSA paid into my Halifax account dead on midnight, at around 1am, and then at 4am. 8am is the latest that i have ever been paid.

If the baseball is "multi-signed", and not "single signed" you would have to name the other players that signed the baseball to get an approximate value.
Authenticating SignaturesYou would have to first determine if the signatures are hand signed or stamped on as a souvenir baseball would have. A stamped signature would have no variation, the ink will be too consistent throughout.. Once you have determined if the signatures are hand signed compare the signatures to other signatures on line that have been authenticated to see if they are similar. If you feel that the signature are likely hand signed authentic signatures you would then need to have them professionally authenticated by a company like PSA/DNA or JSA. Before spending money be sure that they are likely hand signed authentic signatures. Do your homework.

An autograph that is not authenticated by a creditable company could sell at half the price or less than one that is. Two of the top, and most trusted authenticators are PSA/DNA, and James Spence Authentic -JSA (See Related Links) Collectors will pay more for signatures authenticated by either one. It may sound odd but in some cases PSA/DNA, and JSA authenticated signatures may sell higher than a Letter of authenticity from an unknown or less trusted authenticator that witnessed the signing even though PSA/DNA, and JSA did not. It's just a matter of collectors trust, and collectors will pay more for it. Check the respective websites Show Schedule to see if they will be in the area that you live. They also do business through the mail.
