Here are the cards that have fetched the highest prices. # $2.35 million -- Honus Wagner 1909 T206 (Gretzky card) # $1.265 million -- Honus Wagner 1909-1911 # $325,000. -- Mickey Mantle 1951 # $275,000. -- Mickey Mantle 1952 # $270,000. -- Babe Ruth 1914 Baltimore Sun Newspaper rookie card # $203,000. -- Eddie Plank 1909-1911 # $178,598. -- Joe Doyle 1909-1911 SOURCE: PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AUTHENTICATOR

The value of baseball or any collector's card will vary greatly depending on its condition. However in general, some of the most valuable cards include the 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle Rookie card, the 1914 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson, and the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card. Misprints and misspellings are also rare and valuable.

Honus Wagner, 100 years ago. Only a couple hundred of his cards were printed in the American Tobacco Company's set of cards before he threatened to sue if they included him.
