There are lots of strategies in soccer. There are actually schemes in which each player has his role. There are defensive or offensive strategies. The most known are 4 4 2 4 2 4 5 4 1 4 3 3 The numbers are respectivly for numbers of defenders, midfields, and forwards. The most used are defensive by creating a web preventing from opponents' attacks by opposing two or even three men on one. Most often zone defenses are used to create a numerical superiority. Some strategies are even made to "break" the opponents' attacks. With little offences (commited far away from goals), you can prevent yourself from a quick advance. So that you can replace you defensive scheme. This strategy was invented by Italians teams and is called "Catenaccio"

Soccer is a great sport. It helps you build up friendships, your confidence, and gets you lots of exercise. Soccer is also a fun way to learn to make good strategies. Some idiots say people who play soccer are stupid because they are just kicking a ball around, but those are the people who haven't tried it. If one of those people tried to play soccer they would end up failing miserably because they don't understand the game a bit. Soccer can bring out your inner strengths and it is a game of strategy. Go soccer!
Some strategies for soccer are: * This is for if your opposing team is getting closer to your goal and they are in control of the soccer ball, and you have a chance to steal. If someone is open, pass it to them if not pass it OUT which means whatever side you are closer to kick it to that side. * When in doubt, in a throw in throw to the middle where, if one of your teammates is there they then can kick the ball and head straight towards the goal. * Try/Practice what I call the "Side Sweep." Its where you are in control of the soccer ball and you are very close to the goal. What you do is you pretend you are going to one side by kicking it close to the goal but QUICKLY catch it with the other foot then kick it in! * When you are a goalie, and you stop the soccer ball from coming in, or its a goal kick most often try to throw or roll it out, because punts can often go the way you don't want it to and you usually have a very weak punt. This is only advice for goalies and bad punters. Hope this helps. If not or you want more strategies message me and I will reply! Remember I was the captain of my school's soccer team! nat_alia_patterson
