Good question. What I remember about that night in 1974 was that Tom House, the Atlanta pitcher that caught Aaron's 715th in the bullpen, ran to home plate and gave the ball to Aaron as a throng of family and reporters and teammates were around him. I have heard nothing about that ball being sold.

A Hank Aaron signed 8 x 10 photo is worth about $60.-$150. Larger and more desired photos could sell for more. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions. Collectors will pay more for inscriptions like "755 HR" and pay less for personal inscriptions like "Good Luck Chuck" The Plaque has no added collectors value, as it is used to display the photo.

Hank Aaron's teammate Tom House caught the ball in the bullpen and returned it to him. The Baseball and the bat he used to hit home run 715 are on display in the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame, and would not have a value on the open market. Hank Aaron's 755th home run baseball sold for $650,000 in 1999. Other noted (unsigned) Home run balls (year sold) sold for as follows: * McGwire's 70th Home Run baseball sold at a record $3 million in 1999. Keep in mind this is also before the steroid scandal, and the baseball might sell at a much lower price today. * Babe Ruth 1933 All Star Game - $805,000 (2006) * Bonds record breaking 756th home run ball sold at auction for $752,000. * Barry Bonds 73rd of season - $450,000. (2001) * Mickey Mantle 500th - $144,000. (1996) * Barry Bonds 700th Home Run ball sold for - $102,000 in 2005 * Barry Bonds 70th of season baseball sold for - $14,400 in 2007 NOTE: This ball previously sold for $60,000 and it was recently valued at about half that amount. Steroid suspicions are hampering the value of collectibles from more recent years. * Ken Griffey Jr. 500th (2004) - Frank Thomas 500th (2007) $0 (both given back to player by fan)
