Baseball Magazine released their first issue in 1908, and was the top selling baseball publication for decades. By the 1950's stiff competition from magazines like Sports Illustrated, and The Sporting News put Monthly issued Baseball Magazine out of business. About 8 issues were released in 1953, 4 issues in each of 1954, 1955, 1956, and the final year in 1957. There were no issues in 1958. They tried to revive the magazine in 1964 but by 1965 they were out of business for good.
