∙ 18y agoThere shouldn't be any official proof marks if it was manufactured in the US. Any marks would be manufacturer's inspection or identification marks and most of these mean nothing after the gun leaves the factory.

Eastern Arms was a brand name sold by Sears Roebuck. The Model 1929 suggests that it was made by J. Stevens Arms Co.

Before this question can be answered ,you will need to include if this Walther p-38 is a wartime production model(with Nazi proof marks),or if you have a civilian model made after World War II.
It would be a Stevens Model 238 manufactured between 1920 and 1948. The Ranger 101.2 is a Sears Roebuck designation.
