The two best places to check the value of a card for free is ebay.com and checkoutmycards.com. Check periodically for the best chance of finding the card you are trying to establish a value for and for more examples of prices realized. Check selling and sold values on eBay to see what something really sold for. The other best method is to go to Walmart or local book store that sells the Beckett Football magazine and check the current price for one or two OR go to your local library and check for the large Beckett Football Card Price Guide book. Most big cities have a few of these in circulation to checkout.

Provides professionally graded football card values based on sales transactions that take place on eBay and big auction houses.
You can find out in sports shops that sell NHL hockey attire, on your cards theres a number, then you can buy a book that tells you. To find out, you have to go to the page that the player on the card is on, then find the number, and see how much it's worth... it can be up to $600, especially for a Yzerman, Roy, Hasek, or Linden card!!!!!! (NOT ALL SPORTS SHOPS HAVE HOCKEY STUFF, AND IF THEY DO, NOT MANY HAVE THE BOOK, SO LOOK WISELY FOR SHOPS THAT MAY HAVE IT)
It depends what card you are selling some can be more than $100 and some can be 25 cents
