rudder ?
A rudder typically consists of several key parts: the blade, which is the vertical surface that directs water flow; the stock, a vertical rod that connects the blade to the steering mechanism; and the gudgeon and pintle, which are hardware components that allow the rudder to pivot. Additionally, there may be a rudder post that reinforces the structure and a control system, such as a wheel or tiller, used to maneuver the rudder. These components work together to provide directional control for boats and ships.
Hydrofoils are boats that skim on top of the water with very low friction similar to jet skis. Steering is accomplished by a rudder submerged in the water. They are not used for beauty.
