Debarking from LA I'd probably start in Late Spring so it's not all light air sailing to first Pt. Conception (where it will pick up some) to San Franciso area (where it will pick up more). Ideally, I'd pass San Fran around early summer and hope for nice warm days, crisp evenings, and no serious tropical or arctic weather, even from afar. It'd be nice to make landfall in Seattle in July. This would allow some time to relax but still set a pace.
