Most small sailboats aren't meant for any more than two, the most common that I am familiar with is the sunfish or a similar craft. They can't hold any more than two but could be crewed by one. Many companies make a very similar craft, and they can be bought used in decent condition for about $500. All of their space is deck, with a "Cockpit" area for your feet and some small supplies. Also, since they have a center board and are only about fourteen feet, they are easily trailered and could even be put in a truck bed if you can secure it properly. Hope this helps.

A yawl Or ketch
A sailboat is the give-way vessel when it is overtaken by a motorboat, as the motorboat is required to keep clear of the sailboat. Additionally, if the sailboat is on a collision course with the motorboat and does not have the right of way, it must yield. In general, when two vessels are approaching each other, the sailboat should give way to the motorboat unless the sailboat is on a tack that gives it the right of way.

The type of sailboat that changes two vowels from the word "sleep" is a sloop. In the word "sleep," the two vowels that are changed are "e" and "e," which are replaced with "o" in the word "sloop." A sloop is a type of sailboat with a single mast and a fore-and-aft rig.

The dolphin senior was like a sunfish, but an inch or two longer and wider. Two adults can sail her. Three might sink her.... I had one as a kid, and LOVED it. Too bad they don't make them any more. More powerful than a sunfish.
For a couple sailing I would advise a maximum length of 45 to 46 feet. You can sail bigger yachts solo or with a couple but you have to keep in mind that the bigger the yacht the it will require ore effort in maintenance and cleaning. You can get all the luxuries in the 45 foot range you will ever need at sea and still have room for guests.
