What would cause your spark plugs to be wet with fuel?

That strongly implies that the plug or plugs are not firing at all.

What does it mean when 1 plug out of 8 is wet?

Probably losing spark in that one cylinder, maybe a faulty spark plug, a spark plug wire or distributor cap.

My Montgomery ward riding lawn mower engine turns over but won't start?

Try starting the engine, pull the spark plug out and see if it is wet with gas, if it is you might not have any spark(possible from a fouled spark plug) or it might have low compression, put the plug into the spark plug boot and set the tip of the plug onto something that is metal on the engine and turn the engine over. you should see spark, no spark=ignition problem. If the plug is not wet the engine isn't getting any gas and you have a carburetor problem.

What is the most probable cause of a 97 GMC 4.3 engine Missing in wet or damp weather?

Cracked distributor cap or bad spark plug wires/connections.

Why would the 4.3 pop through the throttle body?

Possible causes, mixed up spark plug wires, wet/damp spark plug wires, a bad distributor cap and/or rotor and a burned intake valve could cause the 4.3 to pop through the throttle body.

What is a fouled spark plug?

Fouling spark plugs can happen when the tip temperature is insufficient to burn off carbon, fuel, oil or other deposits and causes spark to leach to metal shell...no spark across plug gap will cause a misfire. Wet-fouled spark plugs must be changed as they won't fire. Dry-fouled spark plugs can sometimes be successfully cleaned by bringing the engine up to the operating temp.

Why won't my 1993 Mitsubishi 3000gt start Replaced ECU fuel pump and still not running.?

well the real question is do you have spark are you getting fuel? well you can take and roll the motor oveer and then pull the spark plug. if the spark plug is wet you don't have spark if the spark plug is dry you have spark that's the easiest way to take a look. the motor need three thing to run fuel oxygen and spark. DO NOT ROLL THE MOTOR OVER WITH THE SPARK PLUG OUT OF THE CYLINDER YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY LIGHT THE FUEL THATS PUSHED OUT OF THE MOTOR IN THE COMPRESSION STAGE. when you find out if the motors getting fuel and not spark it could be your crank sensor which tells the motor when to ignite the spark plug to cause your explosion which makes the motor run. i hope this was helpful.

Why would your spark plugs get wet and car stall?

"Wet" Spark PlugsThe cause of "wet" spark plugs, ignition wiring, and engine stalling depends on what you mean by wet.Your use of the terms wet AND stall suggest that you mean water on the outside of the plugs and on the spark plug wires. If you are talking about external wetness with water, then the cause is usually one of two things:Water from a wet roadway has splashed "up" into the engine compartment and caused the plugs and ignition wiring to be wet, orA combination of temperature and humidity in the atmosphere has resulted in condensation of water vapor on the plugs and wires. In either case, the result is misfiring, rough running, and in the worst case scenario, even stalling.IF on the other hand, by wet you mean liquid fouling of the spark plug terminals inside the engine, this is usually caused by one of two other things:Too much fuel getting to the cylinders, orCrankcase oil leaking into the cylinders, caused by worn or broken piston oil rings.

What if the spark plug on a lawn mower is wet with gas?

The mixture is too rich. The plug may be fouled or the carburetor needs adjustment, or possibly the air filter is clogged up. Check the spark plug and the filter first before you make any carburetot adjustments.
