Coaches are one of the most important things for a player especially one with the talent to play at the collegiate level and maybe professionally, if you are that good. Whats most important is that coaches need to develop you for the type of player you are going to be in the long-term not what you will be for right now. You could be a 1st baseman but you might pitch cause you can throw the hardest on the team, you might play quarterback but coaches will put you on the line cause you are the biggest guy on the team etc. and in the end no one would know how good you would ever be, but most importantly you could lose all your chances to play at the collegiate level. Its a shame how many kids have the ability to play in college or even professionally, but are a victim of this. So to everybody who thinks coaches don't matter please read this and tell me what you think.
