You would benefit from charity, volunteer and any form of sporting experience.

Try volunteering to help sponsored runs

Help out school sports days, help out in a Sunday league or pub match

You need confidence, good communication skills and excellent fitness knowledge as well as the obvious things.

Just get heavily involved in the game or sport, help out, volunteer and get as much down on the CV as possible

It all depends on what sport you plan on coaching and what age level. You need to take certain courses such as firts aid, and a specific coaching course.

Most coaches have played and/or worked already in the NFL. Some even grew up in the business. They may have been a coach for the defense of offense, for the line or quarterbacks.
