There are numerous colleges across the U.S. that offer degrees in sports management. NYU is one that I know of, but it is expensive. I would guess that with a general business degree and an opportunity to work for and learn from a professional sports agent, you could get into the field. You could also just do it it with charisma, smarts, and moxie, if you can find some quality athletes who will trust you, and if you have acquired the skills and knowledge to serve their interests. Hey diffrent person, I have read i think on wikipedia that you may need a degree in law to understand the contracts and stuff like that.

I do not believe there is a required amount of education or a license to be a sports agent. Anyone can allow you to be their agent and negotiate for them if they want. However, because of the skills needed to perform the tasks, and what the industry and prospective clients would expect and have confidence in someone representing them to have, most agents are attorneys. Frequently with specialized legal training in that area - employment law, sports or entertainment law, maybe accounting too. Hence: At least an undergraduate degree sufficent to get one into a Law school, then complete and obtain a Law degree (generally a J.D), and then some advanced certification in the field. finally, the personality to attract clients and succeed in getting them good deals and manage/promote their affairs - perhaps well after they leave sports and enter a business or other type of field.

it is a good idea to establish yourself in whatever sport your interested in, and then start looking for an agent. Agents can end up taking a bunch of your money without providing you with a whole lot.

I think, you need to take up Bacherlor courses in Education major in Physical Education. It's only my opinion. Try to ask your friends or your parents. Do you want to become a sports agent in the future? Good luck.
