It's how much effort you put into what you do, and who you know. I can say you will most likely start off at not very much... but how far you go is up to you. That said, there is a certain limit to how much you can make until you get really high up. I'm a sport management major, and am currently interning in the broadcast department of an NHL team. I have a general idea of what some of the younger people I work with are making (I'm talking early to mid 20's) and it isn't much, but they aren't living paycheck to paycheck either. Just be warned, if you want to work in sports, be prepared to work a LOT of hours and have no weekends. There are no jobs in sports that just allow you to sit in the stands, have a beer and watch the game.
