In Korea everybody calls money won for example 5,000 won = 5.00$ in American money. How you find how many won is you multiply the original American price by one thousand to get the Korean price or take the Korean price and divide it by one thousand to get the American price.
The Koreans do not issue currency in dollars.
1 South Korean won = 0.000791 U.S. dollars so you have exactly $.79.
1000 won and 5000 won
Current exchange rate is 2,000 South Korean Won = 1 British Pound, so a South Korean $10 bill is currently worth about half a British penny or 1 American cent.
