According to the google on 11th March 2010, 1000 won is 40 INR.
In Korea everybody calls money won for example 5,000 won = 5.00$ in American money. How you find how many won is you multiply the original American price by one thousand to get the Korean price or take the Korean price and divide it by one thousand to get the American price.
The Koreans do not issue currency in dollars.
