He wrote the play "The Other Maria Clara" which was staged at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in the late '70's.Not only is Mig an artists but is also an acknowledged member of the academe having been a professor of literature at the University of the East College of Arts and Sciences for so many years!!

Alvarez Enriquez is a fictionist born in Zamboanga City. Among his well-known outputs were two novels "House of Images" which was published in 1953 and "The Devil Flowers" in 1959. Others are three Philippine epic plays in 1991 and two Liberation plays also in 1991.
