Famous or Great? Without a doubt the greatest, in my humble opinion, was George Conner (1948-1956) Chicago Bear defensive tackle, linebacker and offensive tackle. He was the winner of the first Outland Trophy in 1946. 3 time All-American, 1 year with Holy Cross and 2 years with Notre Dame. He was all-pro 4 times (50-53), played both ways his entire career. His playing days ended with a knee injury. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in 1975. He died March 31, 2003 at age 78.
Number 71 is worn by Josh Sitton who is a guard on the Green Bay Packers. He is in his sixth year of the NFL.
Ryan Diem, number 71 right tackle for the colts.
George Connor, linebacker for the Bears from 1948 until 1955. He wore number 71. Connor was five times All-NFL, 1950-1953 Pro-Bowl, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
