1. Press the "Menu" button on the Driver Information Center until the display says "Oil Life Reset".

2. Press the "Enter" button to acknowledge the reset.

3. Oil Life will now read 100%.

As roughly recorded in the 2003 service manual page 22-54: Hold down the trip reset button while turning on the ignition key. Continue to hold the button for a few seconds until the light goes out. It is then reset.

For the 2006 model: Turn ignition on. While maintenance display is on, press and hold the trip reset button and hold until entire maintenance display blinks (roughly ten seconds), let go while whole maintenance display is blinking, then again press and hold the trip reset button until the oil life indicates 100% (roughly ten seconds more).
