an ollie is tha most simple trick in Skateboarding. u have to be able to do it in order to land most moves. so before u start trying to kickflip land an ollie. to ollie u place ur bak foot on the tail of the board, nd ur front foot just above the middle of the board. u have to kick the bak of tha board down...which provides the pop... and slide ur front foot up. to kickflip u place the bak foot the same position as u do on the ollie. ur front foot shuld be....well the heel of it shud be hangin off tha board. nd the front toe shud be pointing diagnally to the front bolts....(it shud make an arrow). after u pop it slide ur front foot up and wen u get to the nose of the board kick off to the side. once u are in the air stomp both feet onto the board...nd land.
RODNEY MULLEN IS A SKATE GOD!!! He has made most all of the basic tricks in skateboarding. lets name a couple, 540 shov-it, helipop, flatground ollie, kickflip, heelflip, impossible, 360 flip, 360 pressure flip, half cab kickflip, one footed ollie, backside 180 kickflip, ollie nosebone, ollie fingerflip, ollie airwalk, FS shov-it heelflip, switch 360 flip, helipop heelflip, kickflip underflip, casperslide, truckstand, drakslide, the list goes on and on. Go to Wal-Mart and get a Level 2 or 3 skateboard. You can spraypaint the deck if you are afraid of being made fun of. I learned how to ollie and do a manual on a Yu-Gi-Oh skateboard that I spraypainted black, and that's my riding around board if I want to do some serious riding.
The Kickflip is the hardest of the basic skateboarding tricks, and one of the most popular skateboarding tricks to learn. Learning to kickflip first, before learning other skateboarding flip tricks, will help you in the long run.
Well, you don't... you will always make mistakes! The number one thing to do is two first make sure you can high kickflip (for security) and can do it while going fast enough for your desired gap/ jump. Then start on really small ones, or go back to how you learned how to ollie, jump a crack in the sidewalk! Go for bigger cracks and gaps then try jumps. Keep building up till you can do just about anything...
The easiest place to learn to kick flip a skateboard would be to search on youtube or to go to your local skate park and ask a regular skater to show you a few things.
The record for the highest kickflip in the world is held by Aldrin Garcia, who achieved a jump height of 45 inches in 2011.
It took me about one or two months to learn the kickflip. The hardest part is learning how to land it. It only took about 12 days to learn to heelflip after learning to kickflip, because the hardest part about both of them is just learning how to land the trick (Once you are comfortable with spinning the board all the way over, concentrate on lifting your back foot up.) You land them about the same way, you spin the board, lift up your legs, let it spin, and land it. It doesn't take very long to learn how to flip the board, so all I had to was learn to spin the board with a heelflip. It doesn't really matter which one you learn first, they are very similar. I think you should learn the kickflip first, but that's just because to me kickflips are easier to do. I think they are easier to spin. The hardest part is just learning to land it, once you can land one of the tricks, you've basically just learned both of them. You just have to learn how to spin the other one. Make sure when you try to spin a heelflip, that you are dragging your foot up, and flicking it off at the concave. When you are trying to spin a kickflip, make sure you are flicking off the concave also and that you are flicking out and not down. If you flick down you will slam the board into the ground. Make sure and don't flick too hard when doing a kickflip. This will cause your board to shoot out away from you. You just want to go out a few inches past the concave, and do it lightly. If you have any other problems just let me know and I'll see if I can help you! :)
Do one million ollies, and one million kickflips.
Every one is different I was able to do a varial kickflip before I could do a plain kickflip 360 shuv-its Would give you a feel for the rotation helping you do a tre flip But everyone learns different things different ways just keep trying
ok.. there are is a way for you to achieve the kickflip. when you position your feet, since your beginning, place your front foot on one bottom bolt, or just close enough to the concave for you to slide and flick. your back foot is where you have it when you ollie. all these motions happen in one frame. You pop, slide, flick out to the side and out, catch with your back foot, land. lean forward when you do this trick also keep your shoulders parallel to your board. most importantly.. COMMIT. you can't land unless you commit.
