Firstly you should have a long thin metal rod (spindle) which you slide it through your bottom bracket. Secondly Slide around 1-2 spacers on the side of the spindle which your sprocket it going on. (This will prevent your sprocket having contact with the bottom bracket) Then place your spocket on and then add more spacers ( Some prefer a small space there which determines how close your feet are beside each orther) Then you can place your pedal arms on the spindle each side. On the side of your sprocket there should be a bolt on pedal arm wich fits a hole on your sprocket, This is quite important as it will allow you to pedal. After all this install the bolt wich fits the end of the pedal arm which will stop it from coming off the spindle. Finally screw your pedals on.
remove the pedal arm pin so that you can freely move the pedal and have an access to the rubber stopper slots.
on the gm metric body 3 bolts hold the throttle pedal asm to the floor pan move the carpet to expose the bolts at the top of the throttle arm is the cable align the plastic bushing slot with the slot in throttle arm to remove the cable remove the bolts holding the throttle asm to the floor pan after removal u will see either a clip or sometimes a nub on the arm pivot remove clip or grind nub to remove pedal if u have to grind the nub u will have to secure the pedal from sliding its possible for the pedal to bind and this may cause the throttle to stick and that can be dangerous be very carful when installing pedal and throttle asm not only can the pedal bind but the carpet can ball up under the brake pedal i suggest having a pro do the job it may cost u but its better than taking a chance
There is either a hairpin clip, retainer that you have to squeeze to release, or that holds everything in place on the pin that runs through the brake pushrod and spotlight switch. Look all the way to the right of the brake pedal arm for the clip it might also be mounted all the way to the left of brake pedal arm instead.
You can't adjust the gas pedal. Unless you cut and weld the arm of it.
Under the brake pedal. Looking up at the pedal you will see the switch it is srewed to the dash and rests on the metal arm of the pedal when you press the brake pedal the switch close's and the brake lights come on. To replace the switch it is very straight forward just remove the srew from the dash separate the wire and replace..
I belive there is a sensor on the top of of the gas pedal. Up the arm there is a piece of plastic when the gas pedal is placed to the floor the sensor hits this plastic piece and must top out there ,But remove that plastic stopper i think there is a hole that the sensor will go through without touching. Try this it might help .
Get down on the floor board and look up at the brake pedal arm. You will see a switch that the arm hits when no pressure is applied to the brake. Twist the switch and pull out of bracket and then remove wires. Do reverse when installing new switch adjust so when you barely touch the pedal the brake lights come on.
IT IS LOCATED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM. THERE IS A PLUNGER THAT RIDES IN AND OU AS YOU DEPRESS THE PEDAL
replace the bushing where the clutch pedal attaches to the master cylinder arm.
For access,if fitted remove electrical relay box,(3 bolts)and lay aside, remove hydraulic oilreservoir(1 bolt)and lay aside upright. Measure thread length of inner cable thru the adjuster on clutch arm and note it. Remove retaining clip and cable from clutch arm. In car, remove return spring and cable hook from pedal. Remove cable assembly from bulkhead pulling thru engine compartment. Push new cable thru bulkhead and reconnect cable and return spring to pedal. Fit cable inner to clutch arm and reset thread to noted length. Back in car, measure distance from top of clutch pedal pad to rim of steering wheel, then depress clutch fully and remeasure.Difference should be 134 to 141mm on rhd car.Adjust at clutch arm to correct it. LHD is 129 to 130mm. When dimension is correct, refit retaining clip on clutch arm. Note Clutch pedal correctly set will be higher than brake and have no free play. Refit relay box and hydraulic res.
Under the pedal arm.
