In 1980 Seve Ballesteros became the first European to win the US Masters. He finished on 13 under par and won by 4 shots. In 1983 he won his third green jacket. His win in 1980 was only the second time a non-American had won the event, with Gary Player of South Africa being the other.

Jock Hutchison in 1921. He was Scottish born, but became a U.S. citizen prior to his 1921 win. In 1922, American born Walter Hagen won the Open Championship.
