Personally, I've checked most of the Atlanta mma gyms / dojos and the one that impressed me the most was American top team atlanta (attatlanta.com. The thing that really got me was that even the pros that work at other dojos train at attatl.
Bangkok Boxing Fitness has BY FAR the best stand-up training in Atlanta (authentic muay thai) and their no-gi bjj classes always incorporate mma training and submission Wrestling. ...and you can try out any class you want there for free. BANGKOKBOXINGFITNESS.COM
Unit 2 fitness is good for if you already have experience, but all their best stand-up coaches have left and their bjj is only gi training until you're invited to do the fighter training. I observed for one class. If you pay one fee, you could try all the classes they have to offer. UNIT2FITNESS.COM
The Best gym I have been to is Armbar MMA in Mt juliet..TN.. I have trained for years in traditioanl arts but was surprised at the physicalness of MMA... They did not want me to just do moves they wanted me to learn how to fight and to be in shape.. They are a good group of guys.. place is a little small but it makes it feel like an old school gym
I'm not yet a martial artist, but I'm a huge fan of UFC. tonight i discovered a place i think will answer your question. i already knew about a rjoyce graycie school in Harrisburg, nc on 49.
but tonight i came across Scott Shields in Charlotte on Lawyer Road. This guy has all the well earned bragging rights as well as accomplished students and gov't and military to prove it. he trained under dan inosanto--a direct student of Bruce Lee!! he is also mixed Martial Arts though, such as brazillian jiu jitsu as well as jun fan jeet kune do and wrestling and grappling and kali and silat. so anybody wanting to be a badass in the mma or ufc world i think should go here. myself I've never been but hey im already thinking about it. he's right in charlotte and has trained with the best and trained the best so what have you got to lose. i think he's even a blackbelt of some kind in kempo karate, which is what chuck liddell has been molded with also. so why not start there? with Scott shields!
i hope this was helpful and best of luck to ya

Port City MMA is by far!It is the only gym in South Alabama that has professional MMA fighters, boxers, & kickboxers. They have the best trainers! The gym is a member of the Helio Soneca Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu association and also a member of USA Wrestling. Port City MMA is the only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in the area to be affiliated with a former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion. And one of the few gyms in Alabama to have an amateur boxing program certified from USA Boxing.
The best and most complete, by far, is Tristar. Second best being Gamma Then we have: Ness MMA, H20, Revolution BJJ respectively. Other gyms exist but all these gyms have quality instructors.
If you are looking for the best MMA gym in Brazil then you should definitely Nova Uniao as it is well known to be one of the premiere MMA gyms in South America.
