Ronin-do is a mixed Martial Arts system developed in the United States in 1992 by it's founder, Ronin-Sensei, Russell G. Carter, Jr. (Judan/Soke).
Ronin-Sensei Carter started his training and study in martial arts in 1968. Since then he has attained ranking in 16 styles/systems, and from his studies he developed Ronin-do.
The National Archives of the United States Martial Arts Association lists Ronin-do and its' founder as being Ronin-Sensei, Russell G. Carter, Jr.
Ronin-Sensei Carter was inducted into the USMA International Hall Of Fame in 2005 as Pioneering Grandmaster Of The Year.
Ronin-do is a method of training in all aspects of physical, mental and spiritual growth that mirrors many customs and beliefs of the orient. Techniques within the system are similar to those found in Arnis/Kali/Eskrima, Judo/Jujutsu, Taekwondo, Iaido/Iaijitsu, Kendo, Bojitsu, Karate, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Boxing/Kickboxing, with strong emphasis of Bushido principles.
