Japanese Ju jutsu involves neutralizing an enemy while usually unarmed or lightly armed because you can't punch through a samurai's armor techniques were developed around the principle of using an attacker's energy against them using throws leg sweeps pins & joint locks so even a unarmed person could still trip or throw a samurai to the ground & stab him or snap a arm choke or strangle him to death. Brazilian Ju Jutsu came from samurai who left Japan due to the arts dying out (Guns!)they conbined Brazilian wresting with Ju jutsu to create a new fighting form . In Bjj you can fight on your back or get your enemy on their back or others positions to lock choke pin or snap a leg or arm off. (Take note in Bjj you are mostly on the ground not standing.)

Either is good. Personally I do Japanese Jujitsu and i like it a lot more than Brazilian which i have also done. I have practiced Japanese Jujitsu with a man who was around 400 pounds and he was great at it.

Firstly, there are no martial arts "families" in the way that is described. Secondly, Japanese jujitsu encompassed far more than grappling techniques - remember it is part of a complete system that stems from the samurai. True, as can any other intense physical activity. However, assuming proper care is taken, even fairly elderly individuals can reach a good level of performance without injuring their joints."...and dangerous for someone that is still young and growing." Dangerous in what sense? Dangerous to the development of bones? This is as true of jujitsu as it is of gymnastics or weightlifting, i.e. not at all. Dangerous in the sense that young, boisterous individuals might injure themselves through lack of attention? This is at least 10 times more likely to happen playing soccer than jujitsu. Is it aimed at actual combat or competition? Contradictory statements like this only serve to confuse. Judo is primarily a sport, and was developed as such, although one's training could incorporate it and focus it in a self-defence context as many thousands do so successfully.

In my opinion, yes, jujitsu is very helpful when it comes to grapples, wrist locks and what not. It hardly requires any strength whatsoever because most of the attacks involve using the opponent's strength against themselves. Another good thing about jujitsu is the wrist locks, even the biggest of people have pressure points, apply these correctly and you have control of the fight. In jujitsu they not only teach you how to master pressure points but how to get out of them.

Cardiac index (CI) is better. Because you count with the body surface. When you have a cardiac output (CO) of certain value in a small and thin person, the same value can be insufficient in a tall and fat person. In CI you devide CO by the person's surface and you get much better idea of what's going on ;)
