well a regular go kart engine is usually a 5.5 hp and thoose can go about 25-35 depending on the weight and engine but a 8 hp engine would probaly go about 40-50 depending on the engine and weight again

That depends partly on how it's geared, Most of the ones I remember had about 1/4 gear ratio with a direct chain drive. With an average 5 hp motor that would give you around 25-30 mph. Good enough for a beginner to learn on.
it ttruly depends on how heavy and how aerodynamic it is
ANS 2 -When I was karting in the 1960's I had friends who ran 98cc engines of various kinds, all of them could easily exceed 60 mph. One had a Mac which ran at over 10,000 rpm and we never did get to record his speed, but it was way over 60. You need to work on and convert minor things in any engine to increase revs and power.
It Depends On Your Weight, The Averege Rate For This is about 120-140 miles per hour....
i think it goes around 50-70 mph but i may be wrong
Its 1100cc on a go kart :D
