How long should your stud be for a brand new lip piercing?

Depends on where you have it done but most places will give you a slightly longer bar to allow for swelling. All mine have been done with a 1.2 mm x 10. However if you have thicker lips they may give you a 12 or if you have thinner lips they may give you a 8. If you realise the bar is too short you can go back and they should change it to a longer one for you.

Why do doctors want to wait as long as possible to perform a hip replacement?

Hip replacements are big operations and they don't last forever, they are after al a mechanical spare part. therefore the longer you wait to do this operation the longer it is until you need to have it done again.

What are differences between pencils and mechanical pencils?

Correct Answer:This all depends on how often each is used, and the care given to each.If both are used on a daily basis, the pencil would last longer as the leads within the mechanical pencil would eventually run out before the wooden one would be sharpened down to its eraser.Typically a mechanical pencil holds eight to ten leads in the inner chamber, while one is within the exiting chamber. As this lead comes to its end it will either be used up until the exiting chamber can no longer hold onto it (and the next lead is coming up behind it), or it will annoy the user by slipping back up into the chamber as the next lead has not found its way into the exiting chamber. When the final lead is nearly finished it will either fall on out or continually frustrate the user by slipping back into the exiting chamber. More lead can be bought for a mechanical pencil, which would mean that essentially the mechanical pencil will last longer than a typical wooden pencil. The problem with this theory is that not all mechanical pencils are made the same. Some manufacturers make their mechanical pencils in such a way that they cannot be reused either because the lead is not a typical universal size, they do not manufacture refill lead, and they may not make it possible to even open the mechanical pencil to replace the lead. In any one of these three cases, this makes the standard wooden pencil last longer. The other deciding factor on which will last longer is up to the user. The person using a wooden pencil might chew off the eraser from nervousness adding to the use of an eraser that is not attached to a pencil. In other cases, it could be that the person using the wooden or mechanical pencil might tap it excessively to the point of almost breaking it. Dropping either pencil on a frequent basis can result in permanent damage of the lead inside.Personally, I still own the same mechanical pencil I bought for drafting classes back in high school. That has been 30 years ago. I have been through nearly 100 wooden pencils since then for sketching.- Harold SinkAnswerThe Mechanical pencil would last longer because you can have multiple packages of refill lead but the regular pencil would eventually be sharpened to nothing but an eraser. AnswerA pencil because the mechanical you would run out of led and a pencil you would just sharpen Answerpencil (these answers are really based off of more opinion than fact.)AnswerCalabuka - The answer to this question is dependant to how it is used. You may snap the mechanical pencil and no longer will it work but the pencil (snapped) will. But you can sharpen the pencil all the way to nothing and a mechanical pencil uses refillable led you can buy at the store. This question really depends on how the pencil/mechanical pencil is used. AnswerMechanical pencils always break and the lead is too thin. Good old fashioned regular pencils are the best.zeldaloverit depends. if u wont the base with a lot of led, then macanical. if u wont a ton of sharpening, then a normal pencil

Oil that smell like fuel can be caused by?

Too much fuel being put in the engine and it gets by the rings and if it has a mechanical pump attached to the motor, it can be leaking inside and running into the crankcase. Too much and the oil will be so thin that it no longer lubricates and you loose a bearing.

If youre no longer on a lease does your rent stay the same?

If you're no longer on a lease, the amount of your rent is dependent on what your contract says. Some contracts say that you will continue paying the same rent until you are notified in writing that it will change. It may make sense for you to sign another lease to lock in the amount you pay for another set period of time.

How a wedge changes a input force?

A Wedge changes an input force by a change when a mechanical advantage increases as it becomes longer and thinner.

How do you increase the mechanical advantage of a wedge?

The spokes of a wheel are comparable to levers. Longer spokes give more mechanical advantage. Even in a wheel that is solid, and has no spokes, the greater the diameter, the greater the mechanical advantage.

Is it true that the longer and thinner a wedge is the greater its mechanical advantage is?

MAwedge=S(Slope)/W(width)

Would the mechanical advantage of the dart tip change if the tip were longer or thinner?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is: the longer your points and the thinner your darts AND points, the closer together your darts can stick in the board. A more compact group takes better advantage of accurate throws, with less darts deflected off course due to fat darts or points.

How a mechanical advantage of a ramp changes as the ramp becomes longer?

The Mechanical advantage becomes smaller decreasing the amount of work that needs to be done. It will take less effort to lift the object or load

What can you do to an inclined plane to increase its mechanical advantage?

Decrease the angle to the horizontal. This is done by making it longer.

Advantages and disadvantages of using an inclined plane or ramp with lifting of heavy objects?

The advantage is that force is lessened over a longer distance. The longer the inclined plane, the higher the mechanical advantage.
