i believe there are multiple ppv companies, and contracts are different with each provider (cable, dish, hbo, comcast, time warner etc.) each company works a different percentage.
ufc had 1,600,000 buyers (some figures have it as 2.2mil). at 40 to 50 dollars per show, could add up to nearly 100 million. im not sure if the figure is worldwide or just usa.
other sources say in 1996 tito ortiz had 2.2mil buys.
