It depends from person to person. Actually speaking, this question cannot be given a generalized answer because the longevity of a fighters career cannot be predicted. Some fighters retire after a few fights when they suffer career threating injuries while some fight for years. For ex: Brock Lesnar's career was cut short due to his "Diverticultis" and he had to retire after a career that spanned 7 fights and just 4 years. Whereas, guys like Anderson Silva have been fighting almost 15+ years. His first fight was in 1997 and he has been fighting regularly ever since.
