It is generally caused by improper valve adjustment. But can be caused by excessive RPM. On the 17.5 the intake push rod is most often the one bent or broke. Try idling down the engine prior to turning it off.
That question will need much more detail before it can be answered. For an engine to run it needs fuel, air and spark. Without knowing which of these the engine has or does not have the question can't be answered.
it depends if you want speed or power, what cog and chain you have and how big they are (small on motor and big on axel gives you lots or acceleration and power where big on motor and small on axel will give you a very high top speed (if you can get it to move))
Firing order for a 6.5 CI single cylinder engine is In this order .. Cyl # 1 first .. than Cyl # 1 and than Cyl #1 I will let you guess what comes next .... It only has one cylinder ... thetr is no order for firing ... multi cylinder engines have firing orders ... :) Thanks Dave. This has been puzzling me for years but your explaination makes it all clear.
check your battery post terminals for good clean connection. If no problem there then you might have a bad generator. Your generator might not be charging your battery. If you installed a new battery and ran your bug all day chances are that your engine was running off of the battery which was not being recharged by your generator. As soon as you turned off your engine and tried to re-start it, your battery did not have enough juice to crank the engine over. Good luck.
