sure but it will probably take longer than if you use a wire feed. you might have to cut the rod in half to get to tight places. and a stick welder might be to hot and burn through the pipe you use for roll bar

Can you reapair a leak in the intercooler radiator?

Yes. A really good TIG welder can do this. Ask around at radiator shops. JB Weld never works on this kind of stuff.

How do you repair a broken seat adjustment handle on the side of the passenger side seat?

Take the seat off by unbolting it from the floorboard. Take the seat and the broken piece to a welder and have them weld or braze it back in place.

How do you seal a cracked oil pan in a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle?

You replace it. It may be possible to have a professional welder weld the crack to seal it up again, but if its cracked then more than likely it got hit hard, and is too bent out of shape to be saved anyway.

What is weld mapping?

Weld mapping are visible marks that are seen on metal welded parts. Either they are welded together or repaired and sometimes you can tell who welded it, and when the weld was placed. Weld mapping is the process of assigning information to a weld joint to enable easy identification of its design (WPS), production (welders, their qualifications, date welded), quality (visual inspection, NDT) and traceability (heat numbers of materials joined & welding consumables). Weld mapping should also incorporate a pictorial identification to represent the weld number on the fabrication drawing, in case the designer does not nominate a weld number. You can use online weld mapping software such as Smart Welding Manager to create weld maps that provide 100% traceability as well as a pictorial representation.

Is it illegal to weld on your cars frame?

Automobile frames are repaired and welded all the time, it's not illegal. Sometimes this job is best left to the professionals unless you are an experienced welder capable of doing quality work. If you don't know what you are doing you can quickly ruin a vehicles frame and create a dangerous or even deadly situation. So while it may not be illegal to weld your cars frame you should ask yourself if it's wise to do it yourself, if not let a pro do it.
