Well I guess so. But if you have a dog or some animal that likes to run around freely I would get an electric fence. My dog has one and he is much happier than he would be without one. Getting an electric fence is defiantly the way to go in my book.

It is to tie an animal with a rope or chain to restrain its movement.
Cut the Rope has a Lite version that is free.
A halter is a rope or strap. It is used to lead an animal.
In a tug of war where there is no movement in the rope, the net force is zero. This means that both teams are exerting equal and opposite forces on the rope, resulting in a state of equilibrium.
A pulse wave is produced when the free end of the rope is quickly raised and lowered one time. This wave is a single disturbance that travels along the rope from the fixed end to the free end.

A hobble is used in the oilfield to secure a horse or other livestock. It typically consists of a strap or rope that limits the animal's movement. In the context of the oilfield, a hobble may be used to restrict the movement of equipment or parts to prevent them from shifting or moving unexpectedly.
