have your crankshaft position sensor changed. i did buttloads of research on this as it happened to mine several times this past summer. i was living with someone who worked at a Cadillac dealership and got me some diagnostic stuff done for free so i had the battery and alternator tested as well as the gas pump and a couple other things. no one could figure out what was wrong with it. then i came across a posting on the internet saying people with 03 cts had the same problem. one guy said it was a faulty cps and i had it changed. the part was 75 dollars or so and i got free labor (you wont its about an hour and a half labor time job at a dealership) and it has never happened sense. the mechanic said if the cps fails or is faulty the car will automatically shut itself off to try to protect itself.
You just need to go and have your A/C system recharged and that should take care of the problem.
Possibly, you have a broken timing belt.
check fuel pump or ignition system
thermostat needs replaced
Few things feel more liberating than cruising down a highway on a balmy, summer evening with the top down. Driving a luxurious Cadillac CTS convertible would make the experience even better. The CTS is available in eight colors ranging from red obsession to raven.
Try replacing the ECM relay in the box under the hood.
a cadillac escalade is better hands down
Pull over and put it down.

There are multiple reasons why a battery would go down on a 1991 Cadillac DeVille. There may be a short in the electrical wires, the battery may be old or low on water, or you may of left an inside light on.
