I'm not sure where it is located. But, I had mine replaced recently because of a problem of my gears not shifting (key stuck in ignition). I was told that the BCM is what control the signal when pressing down on brake to shift out of park. Also, my gas gauge doesn't work (reads Empty) and I can't check my oil/transmission level on my dash ( it reads XXX). I think I need a ECM.

The body control module can have everything to do with it. If the engine computer and the body control module do not have communication between one another than the engine will start then die after 2 sec.
It controls the windows and turn signals
just unplug it but do not have the car on. Also you will have to get it programed.

How do I test body control module and is it hard to do..
It is under the dash near the steering column.
2001-2003 it is behind a panel under the glove box.
Below the steering wheel and above the pedals
be hind glove box its silver and looks like a vcr tape
At the deal it'll cost about $650 for new module and labor to install and program it.
It doesn't have a body control module.
