Your battery may be dead. Try to start your car. If you hear the engine turn over but it doesn't fire up you may have a bad ignition coil or a bad fuel pump. If you turn the key and you hear a fast clicking noise or no noise, your battery may be bad. Try to jump-start the car. Hook up some jumper cables and try to start it. If it turns over and runs, remove the jumper cables. Go and check your gauges and see if your battery light is on. If your light is not lit, replace your battery. If the light is on and stays on, remove your alternator and get it rebuilt or replace it. Then replace your battery. If it does not turn over when jumped from another car, your starter is bad. To check for a bad ignition coil or "no spark condition", here is the procedure. So long as your engine turns over and does not start you can do this check. Remove the spark plug from cylinder #1. Put the spark plug into the boot and ground the plug. Hint :)You can do this by touching the threads of the plug to the valve cover:) You'll need a second person to turn the key while you hold the boot. While the engine is trying to start, watch the spark gap on the plug. If you don't see any spark, your ignition coil needs to be replaced.
you can run a ignition diagnostics to check the alternater, starter and the battery, if it wont start, its probably somewhere in one of those
No, airbags did'nt start being included on the Paseo until, I believe, the 1994 or 1995 model year, about 2 to 3 years before the end of the Paseo's production run in 1997. I have a 1992 Paseo and it does NOT have airbags, neither driver or passenger. The 1993 Paseo does have a drivers side airbag. I have a 93 paseo and it does have a drivers side airbag
Check for spark and fuel to start, then go from there. It could be almost anything and is a process of elimination to find the cause.
First things first! Always start out by looking that the Fuse box areas! 2 of them, one under driver dash, and 1 in engine compartment on right side.
Its old, google how to clean (ICV) idle control valve.
There could be several reasons why a Toyota Sienna will not start. the most common problem would be a dead battery.
It could just be your starter...
i am stuck on this one i need help it ran good intill i put a cluch in it
You should check the cv joints on your drive line. When they start to go bad they'll start clicking when you turn.
A bad fuel injector can cause your 2004 Toyota Camry to smoke when you start it up. A plugged air filter can also cause it to smoke.
I have a 1995 Toyota Paseo I changed the battery on the car and buitl in alarm would not let me start the car it flashed light and kept buzzing had to undo battery.. Does anybody know how to diable the built in alrm system?? Try putting the key into the driver's door lock and turning the keu to the extreme left then right. Some cars have this and the owner never even knew that they had an alarm system.
My '93 Paseo recent refused to start. Battery was good, starter turns, but won't start. Found sparkplugs had no spark; finally traced it to AM2 fuse, which blew. Replaced it with new fuse, it also blew when I tried to start the car. AM2 fuse is for Ignition -- googling this problem showed the common cause was a condenser ("radio frequency interference condenser" as per advance auto) inside the distributor shorts out and blows this fuse. Sure enough, when I took the condenser out the Paseo started! I've decided not to replace the condenser, as it's only to prevent static on the radio (there's none with it out anyway). The only thing I would've done different was I should've just cut the brown wire coming from the condenser, and left the condenser screwed into the distributor. Because I took the condenser out, there is now a small hole to the side of the distributor where water can come in. I might just seal it with epoxy, cause the condenser is a pain to screw back in. Amazing how such a small part can prevent your car from starting (and more significantly, if it happens while you're driving, it could cause an accident as your car could abruptly lose all power).
