In the european version 2008 facelift is under the clove compartment in drivers sear. Its the C102 relay that's near the fuses of DRL's.

Under the dash on the drivers side towards the center of the car is a black box. This box is your DRL box, along with your door dinger and various other functions. Find out whitch pin/wire is for the DRL's and just cut it then tape it up.
It is possible - you must splice the fog light power leads into the DRL circuit and they should come on as the DRL's would.

The simplest way to do it would be to cut the DRL wires to the headlamp assemblies. The more complex way would be to locate and remove the DRL circuit board under the dash.
