Dex cool coolant.
Dex-Cool
You can use standard GREEN coolant in this system.DO NOT use orange or DEX COOL coolant. It will not mix with your current coolant.
it is not reccomended to mix orange coolant with green. it will harm cooling system. only use dex-cool or the correct brand. call dealership to see if universal coolant is ok!!
because dex-cool has different heat dissipation property's then green ethylglycol coolant.. use of green prestone in a dex cool system can cause head gasket and overheat issues not to mention premature internal wear.
The coolant in a 1998 model has dex cool antifreeze. It is red in color and not green. It is suppose to be good for 5 years or 150000 miles.
Dex Coolant I used Prestone Dex Cool Premixed longLife coolant that I got from canadian tire
It isn't going to permanently damage it as long as you replace it with the proper coolant. NAPA makes an all types and models coolant that is compatible with Dex-Cool. Dex-cool just has additional lubricants in it that are designed for that system. If you use regular coolant the seals in the cooling system can break down much faster and cause leaks.
No .... do not mix the old style coolant and the new Dex types. The new Dex coolant is the only thing to put in your truck. I have seen trucks with 100,000 miles on them and they still have a pristine cooling system. www.trailvoy.com ..... All the answers for your Trailblazer from true enthusiasts!
it takes dex-cool coolant,
Any type of green coolant will do. Bear in mind that GM started using DEX COOL in 1996. DEX and green coolant will not mix with each other. Prestone is recommended. what is your problem??? 2 times I have said use prestone and you erase it, yet someone else says prestone and it stays???????????????
any dex-cool coolant but you must make sure it say's dex-cool on it.
