Sadly No, It wont in either code. Jacques Rogge who heads the Olympic Board has stated that even 7's is very doubtful. This is because games would need to be played in a frequency of 3 days to meet the 16 day Olympic time scale. Rogge has stated that whilst even he is a huge fan of the game the frequency of play especially for a full side version is not practical especially for a full contact game as players would not be able to maintain fitness and repair injuries. This statement was also reported by the BBC in London recently where the games are set. However, regarding 7's Rogge said that he appreciated the huge following recently in the UKs Commonwealth Games. The possibility of the 7's being selected is still on the table but has warned that there are a considerable number of other sports that are now bidding for inclusion.
