A warm basball would travel further since the molecules in the ball are moving faster than if it was colder. Although this change of temperature would be very insignificant in everyday life. There would be a greeter affect in the distance if the bat was warm compared to the ball being warm. So if you wan't the ball to travel far have a warm bat and then it will have a lot of 'pop'. If you hit it with a bat, a warm ball will go further. The molecules in the ball are held together less tightly and are more bouncy, so instead of work being done by vibrating the bat, all energy is transferred into the ball.

It depends on the brand of Baseball, and your definition of used, in some cases yes a used one will travel farther, but if the ball is OVER used then you will get better results from a ball fresh from the package.

Yes. If a ball is hit with the same force in the same direction when it is hot, it will travel farther than if it was hit when it was cold out. This is because the density of the air. When it is hot out the density of the air is less than when it is cold it is better.

That is the sort of question that could be easily tested by actual experiment. In theory yes, a cold baseball might travel very slightly farther than a warm one, because the cold would make it contract (very slightly) and therefore it would present a smaller surface area to the air, producing less air resistance. I'm not sure that this effect would be large enough to actually detect, however.

I think a cold dry baseball would travel farther. A warm moist one would be heavier.

I would say maybe a little bit,the leather in the new ball will have more moisture than an old crusty one,so it might,in theory, get more of a bounce and go a little farther....

If you hit a baseball or tennis ball will go further?

Because a baseball is smaller you could hit it farther. This is because with less surface area, there is less friction action on the ball. With less friction acting on the ball, it means less "stuff" is holding the ball back from traveling farther, the baseball can physical travel farther than a softball.

Why is aluminum used in baseball bats?

To make the ball go farther.

Why does a tennis ball go far if you throw it?

When you throw the tennis ball, it flies for a distance before dropping down because when you throw the tennis ball, you use force, which is transferred to the tennis ball, which then converts to kinetic energy (movement energy), to allow the tennis ball to go far.

Which ball will go higher a baseball a footballor tennis ball?

I would say tennisball because it has less mass inside it.

Why does a tennis ball go farther and higher than a soccer ball with the same mass?

That is because of air resistance. Since the soccer ball has a greater surface area (and holds the same shape as the tennis ball), it will see greater air resistance against that surface, thus slowing it and stopping it quicker.

Does stuffing your baseball bat with tennis balls make the ball go farther?

yes, i put 4 tennis balls in a bat by taking the top off and it went over the fence at 225ft i only hit 1 home run ever with the combat B1 31/21 at 200ft

Which will go higher when thrown straight up a regulation tennis ball or a golf ball?

Can air travel through a tennis ball?

Yes, of course. The material a tennis ball is made out of is porrus. That is why tennis balls go flat.

Does a golf ball go farther go farther when placed at the front or back of stance?

Placing the ball at the back of your stance will effectively make the ball fly lower and farther. By placing the ball at the back of your stance you are decreasing the loft of the club. If you want to hit a high shot move the ball forward but remember it will not go as far.
