It is always difficult to predict these things. Hockey bloggers and sportswriters began debating this in 2011, and the conversation continued into 2012. Osgood is generally regarded as a very good, but not great, player: he had a 17 year career, and is tenth in wins in NHL regular season history with 401 career wins. Whether that will be enough to get him inducted remains to be seen.
